Key Responsibilities
  • Operate various vehicles and equipment, including riding mowers, tractors, and leaf blowers, to maintain park grounds and trails.
  • Perform general custodial duties, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, emptying trash and recycling containers, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Conduct landscaping duties, including planting, weeding, trimming, and removing trees and shrubs to maintain the park's aesthetic appeal.
  • Respond to emergencies, including inclement weather conditions and snow removal, to ensure the park remains safe and accessible.
  • Split, load, and restock firewood as needed.
  • Open park gates on weekends and assist with special events, including tent setup and breakdown, table and chair setup and breakdown, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks and maintain a high level of quality and productivity.
Requirements
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
  • Have at least one year of experience in groundskeeping, building maintenance, or park maintenance.
  • Be able to read and write.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
Benefits

This is a seasonal, intermittent position with a rate of $18.00 per hour. Benefits are not provided, but this position accrues paid sick leave up to 40 hours per year.
