Substitute Cook

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substitute Cook to join our team at SEK-CAP. As a Substitute Cook, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and providing high-quality food service to our customers.

• Food Preparation and Service
  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of foods in accordance with established recipes and menus.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a clean and safe environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of food preparation and service.
• Kitchen Maintenance and Sanitation
  • Ensure that the kitchen and all equipment are clean and well-maintained.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and foodborne illness.
• Teamwork and Communication
  • Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and colleagues.
• Adaptability and Flexibility
  • Be able to adapt to changing menu items and kitchen schedules.
  • Be flexible and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred.
• Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
• Certifications and Training
  • First Aid and CPR certification required.
  • Food safety certification preferred.
