About This Role

MGM Healthcare is seeking a skilled Laundry Assistant to join our team in a senior living setting. As a Laundry Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and operate washing machines and dryers to clean and sanitize laundry
  • Sort and fold laundry according to identification numbers and type
  • Lubricate machines and perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Mend torn articles and count laundry to verify quantities
  • Iron and press clothing and linens as needed
  • Mix and apply dyes and bleaches according to formula
  • Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1 year of experience in laundry or a related field preferred
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Basic computer skills and ability to follow written and oral instructions
