Overview

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a skilled Hand Therapy Occupational Therapist to join our team in Port Charlotte, FL. As a Hand Therapy Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality hand therapy services to patients, including evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, and discharge.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with hand and upper extremity disorders.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide hands-on therapy, including splinting, exercises, and modalities, to promote patient recovery and function.
  • Collaborate with hand surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay current with evidence-based practices and research in hand therapy to provide the best possible care for patients.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure or registration as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Florida.
  • Specialty certification in Hand Therapy (CHT) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in hand therapy, with a focus on splinting and upper extremity rehabilitation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
