About the RoleWe are seeking an Energy Manager to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. As an Energy Manager, you will be responsible for providing operating guidance to HVAC personnel, monitoring mechanical systems operation, and establishing cost-effective operating strategies. You will also be responsible for maintaining technical information, monitoring standards, codes, and regulations, and effectively communicating these standards to project managers and designers.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, as well as five years of experience in a similar position. You will also need comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local standards, codes, designs, and regulations pertinent to the hospital environment, as well as ability to maneuver successfully in utility work areas and climb ladders and scaffolding.
