The Principal Development Engineer is a key member of our team, responsible for designing and developing complex software solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide and maintain applications that meet business requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to less experienced technologists.
- Analyze system problems and recommend alternatives for resolution.
- Recommend opportunities to improve system effectiveness and efficiency.
- Lead projects and provide technical leadership in the development of applications in any phase of the systems development life cycle.
The Principal Engineer drives initiatives to adopt new processes and standards, providing guidance and technical leadership to project resources or maintenance resources.
- Maintains an awareness of other projects and their possible effect on ongoing projects.
- Assists and holds others accountable for their commitments.
- Takes accountability for team deliverables and overall team success.
The Principal Engineer provides input for contingency and disaster recovery plans, repairs, modifies, and develops additional functionality, and follows and supports change management practices and internal controls standards.
- Communicates changes and impact to those affected.
- Assists less experienced technologists in all areas of maintenance and communication.
- Provides vendor system support.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, Springboot, and AWS, and will be able to provide technical leadership and guidance to the team.
