Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Airside Operations Duty Manager to join our team at the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. As a key member of our Airside and Terminal Operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our airfield.

This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in the aviation industry and develop your skills in airfield management, safety, and security. Our Veteran Fellowship Program is designed to provide a seamless transition for veterans from active duty to the civilian work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent all aspects of airport emergencies and operational activities, maintaining safety and security integrity of the airfield.
  • Serve as liaison with contractors during construction and maintenance projects on runways, taxiways, aprons, and terminal facilities.
  • Coordinate, respond, and participate in airport emergencies with first responder agencies.
  • Manage airfield escort activities in compliance with mandates and regulations.
  • Maintain records, operational log, and correspondence, and develop reports and correspondence.
Requirements
  • A minimum of three (3) years of active duty or mobilized reserve duty service.
  • Documentation of an honorable discharge (DD214) from active or reserve status within the last year.
  • Maintain a Valid Class C driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA degree in Aviation Management or related field.
  • Three years of air traffic control, airfield operations experience.
