Challenger School is on the lookout for a passionate and skilled individual to join our educational team as a music educator. Music plays a crucial role in our established curriculum.
As a music educator at Challenger, your primary responsibilities will include imparting essential music concepts to children, such as rhythm, vocal techniques, music recognition, interpretation, movement, and dance.
You will engage with various grade levels and will also be tasked with planning and directing music for our annual festive events, including the Christmas Sing and Spring Program.
Key Responsibilities- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of Challenger's curriculum, teaching methodologies, and educational philosophy.
- Ensure a safe and conducive classroom atmosphere.
- Support fellow educators across multiple classes with music-related curriculum and concepts.
- Demonstrate patience and understanding while working with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A minimum of 2 years of college education or equivalent classical music training and experience in music, vocal performance, and/or piano.
- Proficiency in piano accompaniment and vocal delivery techniques.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check.
- Completion of pre-employment assessments.
