Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing worship at a specific Forest Hill Church campus, collaborating with the music and production teams to create engaging weekend experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the music team to design and implement worship experiences that align with the church's mission and values.
  • Lead the congregation in worship on weekends and other gatherings, utilizing vocal and instrumental skills to create a dynamic atmosphere.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to contract and volunteer personnel in worship, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency.
  • Work closely with supervisors, peers, and support personnel to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement tracks, vocal and instrumental resources, and other creative elements to enhance the worship experience.
  • Participate in vocal and instrumental rehearsals to ensure a polished and professional presentation.
  • Recruit, audition, and develop stage personnel, including vocalists and instrumentalists.
  • Collaborate with the worship team to create original Forest Hill Church worship elements, including composition, arrangement, and publishing.
  • Support the worship and music needs in pastoral functions and special emphases of the church.
  • Provide relief and support to other campus worship teams as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience leading adults in worship within a large church.
  • Associates degree or higher education and proficiency in one or more lead musical instruments and competence in a variety of styles of musical performance.
  • Experience in worship music composition and arrangements (both vocally and instrumentally).
  • Experience working with relevant music tracking software.
  • Diverse knowledge of musical styles.
  • Ability to lead diverse musical performances that engage large congregations.
  • Strong vocal and instrumental ability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop others.
  • Strong time management skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but will be responsible for the recruitment and supervision of volunteer and contract musicians and vocalists.
