About the Role

New River Electrical Corporation is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Building & Grounds Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing janitorial duties, general maintenance, light repairs, and landscaping tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the building and grounds by performing janitorial and maintenance duties, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, light carpentry, and painting.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks as scheduled, ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and in good working order.
  • Assist in managing vendors, purchasing supplies, and coordinating with contractors working on property.
  • Record keeping of tasks and preventive maintenance to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Upkeep of landscaping and snow removal to maintain a safe and attractive environment.
Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • General maintenance skills, mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and keep records.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
