Position Overview:
The Plastic Extrusion Technician is tasked with setting up operations on the extrusion machinery.

This involves changing die sets, installing deckles, adjusting roller gaps, loading materials into the extruder, and maintaining the equipment to produce plastic rolls for sale or production use.

All tasks are conducted in a controlled environment. Personality and Interest Profile
  • This role may suit you if you: Are a self-driven problem solver Enjoy working with hand tools Responsible for: Monitoring and resolving any issues with the extruder.
Overseeing each production run and ensuring completion of each task Understanding and completing necessary documentation related to equipment upkeep, job setup, and quality assurance.

Changing rolls on the extruder, utilizing a hoist to lift and transport the roll to the designated area Performing maintenance on the extruder Assisting with various tasks within the department Adhering to best manufacturing practices to guarantee product safety.

Ability to work autonomously and exercise sound technical judgment with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Attention to detail Manual dexterity and the ability to work efficiently and accurately

Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting of 15-25 lbs.

Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs./More than 50 lbs requires team assistance Frequent repetitive tasks with upper limbs Prolonged periods of standing on concrete surfaces Ability to properly wear and utilize personal protective equipment Frequent climbing of steps and/or ladders while working on elevated platforms Exposure to high temperatures Ability to work any shift, with a preference for evening or night shifts.
