Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Banquet Server to join our team. This individual will be responsible for setting up and preparing banquet rooms for functions, serving and bussing tables, and clearing and tearing down banquet rooms at the end of the function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up for functions, including draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and putting out table centerpieces.
  • Service to include picking up food from the back hall, carrying trays to the function location, serving food, and clearing the food from the tables.
  • Break down to include bussing tables, putting away dirty linen and centerpieces, and vacuuming.
  • Responsibilities also include cleaning of the back hall and organizing of storerooms.
  • Set up for AM or PM break stations, including coffee, tea, snacks, beverages, etc.
  • Assist as needed with event room setup according to meal period and table needs.
  • Perform food and beverage preparation duties, such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee, and ensuring workstations are stocked.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests, removing dishes, glasses, silverware, or other items from tables/counter tops and taking them to the kitchen.
  • Clean and sanitize tables and/or counters & seats after guests are finished.
  • Explain how various menu items are prepared, cooking methods, and ingredients.
  • Take into consideration any special requests and dietary issues made by the guest.
  • Provide general property information and offer a warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests.
  • Interact with staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
  • Ensure final quality check on food and beverage items prior to serving guests.
  • Monitor assigned tables for customer satisfaction, quality, and additional service.
  • Address any guest issue promptly and with high concern.
  • Provide assistance to other event and restaurant staff as needed.
  • Maintain constant awareness of safety issues, such as broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons.
