GFL Environmental is seeking a Residential Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a residential / recycling collection truck, ancillary equipment, and hydraulic system to collect solid waste and/or recyclables on specified collection routes.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect solid waste and/or recyclables on curbside and/or backdoor routes and transporting to post-collection facilities.
  • Operate equipment on trucks to compact trash into vehicles.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety lane inspections and reports, daily truck reports, route sheets, and other documentation requested by supervisors daily.
  • Communicate vehicle mechanical problems to mechanics and supervisors immediately.
  • Maintain route quality standards as predetermined by management.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is desired.
  • A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
  • Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or a CDL school certificate is required.
  • Ability to meet relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards.
