Job Summary

Luminis Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team as a PRN (as needed) ultrasound technologist. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ultrasound Procedures: Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including diagnostic and routine exams, to evaluate patient conditions and provide accurate results.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily calibration checks and maintenance of ultrasound and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Patient Care: Provide exceptional patient care and communication, ensuring patients are comfortable and informed throughout the examination process.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with established safety and quality standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Successful completion of a one-year program in Ultrasound Technology.
  • Experience: Two years of full-time experience as a clinical ultrasound technologist in a hospital radiographic environment.
  • Certifications: CPR certification and certification in Physics, Abdomen-Pelvis, OB-GYN by the Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) are required. Additional registry in OB/GYN, neonatal hands, or vascular is recommended. AART Maryland license is preferred.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The physical demands of this role include heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
