Job Summary:

Sigma Healthcare is seeking a skilled Catheterization Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Cath Lab Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cardiovascular services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs duties in compliance with universal precaution and infection control protocols
  • Adheres to department standards for on-call coverage and maintains a high level of professionalism
  • Obtains and reviews patient history and consents, verifies patient identification and information prior to procedures
  • Verifies lab results prior to procedures to ensure patient safety and suitability for contrast material administration
  • Responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment, exam rooms, and work areas to ensure efficiency and patient satisfaction
  • Utilizes computer systems within hospital guidelines and demonstrates proficiency in required computer programs and documentation
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Invasive Cardiovascular Technology, Paramedicine, or Respiratory Therapy
  • Cardiac or special procedure experience is preferred, as is ECG interpretation experience

Required Certifications/Licensure:

  • ARRT or RCIS certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • KS License
