Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Locate Technician to join our team at Stake Center Locating. As a Locate Technician, you will be responsible for locating underground utilities, troubleshooting, and marking the ground to promote damage prevention in your community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Think Safety First: Our top priority is the safety of our employees, customers, and the public. You will be responsible for identifying potential hazards and taking necessary precautions to prevent accidents.
  • Utilize Locate Equipment and Technology: You will use provided locate equipment and technology to accurately locate underground utilities, including reading maps, interpreting blueprints, and determining the best method and sequence for locating.
  • Communicate Effectively: You will work closely with peers, managers, and homeowners to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements
  • Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to apply.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Driver's License: You must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Physical Demands: You must be able to walk up to 5 miles a day, 2-3 times a week, and carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment for extended periods.
