The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for executing all established echocardiography procedures, considering age-related factors in care, treatment, education, and evaluation of patients from neonates to geriatrics. This role requires the application of knowledge regarding age-related factors in accordance with professional standards and departmental policies. The Cardiac Sonographer must perform procedures safely while observing universal precautions and pursue professional development for the continual enhancement of patient care.

Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program.
Licensure:
Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
Certification:
BLS certification through American Red Cross (AHA and military certifications accepted) required upon hire.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of echocardiography experience is required, with vascular experience preferred.
