Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at Wythe County Community Hosp. As a Critical Care RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our 6-bed ICU unit.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those with respiratory failure, CHF, Afib RVR, DKA, overdose, and alcohol withdrawal.
- Manage ventilators, titrate sedation drips, and administer vasopressors as needed.
- Perform cardioversion and defibrillation during code blue situations.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in code blue drills and other emergency situations.
- Document patient care and progress in the medical record.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- At least 2 years of experience in ICU or critical care.
- Experience with ventilators, titrating sedation drips, and administering vasopressors.
- Knowledge of cardioversion and defibrillation techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Critical care experience.
- Knowledge of Meditech EMR and Phillips ICU Monitor.
Work Environment:
Wythe County Community Hosp is a 100-bed facility located in Wythe County, Virginia. We provide care to a primary service area of approximately 36,000 individuals, including Wythe and Bland counties. Our hospital is staffed by over 80 physicians and employs over 350 full-time personnel.
