About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Beaufort, SC. As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct and indirect speech therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the SLP in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs.
  • Provide direct speech therapy services to students, individually or in groups, as directed by the SLP.
  • Collect and document data on student progress and performance.
  • Prepare materials and activities for therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to student services and progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
  • Assist with screenings and assessments as directed by the SLP.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards as set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Valid SLPA license in the state of SC.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
