Childcare Aide

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as an Early Childhood Education Assistant at the Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency. As a key member of our preschool team, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of our young students.

• Assist in Implementing Educational Programs: Collaborate with our experienced teachers to develop and implement engaging educational programs that promote the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of our preschoolers.
• Support Classroom Management: Assist in maintaining a safe, healthy, and positive learning environment that fosters a sense of community and respect among our students, teachers, and staff.
• Observe and Identify Student Needs: Regularly observe and identify the needs of our students, providing support and guidance to ensure their individual needs are met.
• Assist with Daily Tasks: Assist with daily tasks such as toileting, diapering, and personal care procedures as needed.
• Ensure Student Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of our students at all times, including during transportation and outdoor activities.
• Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience for our students.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in caring for young children preferred.
• Physical Demands: The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform other physical demands associated with this role.
