Job Overview

Position Summary

The Natural Gas Marketing and Scheduling Analyst operates under general oversight to execute a range of marketing functions, primarily focusing on the precision of allocations on pipelines and ensuring accurate flow volume confirmations with buyers. This role involves the verification of invoices and settlement statements from purchasers. Additionally, the analyst may manage and uphold the marketing software systems and contract documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Nominate, allocate, confirm, and balance flow volumes with buyers, pipelines, and well owners.
  • Engage with field personnel to collect data, compute, and report various transactions.
  • Assess volumes available for sale on a monthly basis.
  • Coordinate daily scheduling of volumes with pipelines or transport companies.
  • Analyze and mitigate pipeline imbalances and inventory levels.
  • Maintain listings of contracts and manage the OpenText file database.
  • Monitor and assess pipeline maintenance schedules for their impact on flow.
  • Generate volume and pricing forecasts along with other necessary reports and analyses.
  • Prepare monthly revenue accruals and liaise with Revenue Accounting.
  • Exhibit a foundational ability to analyze and manage data within the EMK3 system.
  • Issue monthly sales invoices through EMK3.
  • Address issues and respond to inquiries related to scheduling.
  • Identify basic challenges and propose, recommend, and implement solutions to enhance performance and effective delivery.
  • Conduct business operations safely and uphold the highest ethical standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Software Proficiency

Possess a basic level of skill and familiarity with Microsoft Office. Have a foundational understanding of company-specific software and related applications, including EMK3, AVM, and other proprietary systems.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

Demonstrate a basic comprehension of flow volumes and general marketing principles. Exhibit fundamental knowledge and understanding of patterns, correlations, and trends to support decision-making.

Educational Background:

A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field is required.

Experience Requirement: A minimum of 2 years of experience in the oil and gas sector.

Work Schedule: Hybrid model, with in-office presence required Tuesday through Thursday, and the option to work remotely on Monday and Friday. On-call availability is required to manage nomination changes every other weekend.

Compensation: The salary range is between $82,400.00 and $113,000.00 annually.
