Pain Management Medical Assistant II

Hutchinson Clinic P.A is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant II to join our Pain Management team. As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and clinical support to our physicians and patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, and test results in our electronic medical record system.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
  • Assist physicians with exams, including handing them instruments or materials and performing tasks such as giving injections or removing sutures.
  • Collect and log specimens for testing and authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
  • Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients and their families.
Requirements:
  • One year of work experience as a Medical Assistant or closely related position preferred.
  • High School Education or equivalent required. CNA, CMA, or completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
  • Current BLS certification or completion within 6 months of employment is required.
