Position Overview: As a Senior Emergency Medical Technician, you will provide essential patient care under the guidance of nursing and medical staff. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing clinical, non-clinical, and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the nursing unit.
- Utilizing age-specific competencies to cater to diverse patient populations.
- Adhering to corporate compliance and regulations set by local, state, and federal agencies.
- Engaging in outstanding customer service and fostering respectful relationships.
Your Contributions: You will play a vital role in patient monitoring and care, including:
- Attaching 12-lead EKGs and preparing test results for the physician.
- Initiating cardiac monitoring and performing venipuncture as needed.
- Transporting patients safely to various departments while ensuring their comfort and stability.
- Assisting medical staff with procedures and examinations, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Following safety protocols and demonstrating proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Valid State Licensure as a Paramedic
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course
- At least one year of experience in an Emergency Department or pre-hospital setting
