Job Summary:We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Solar/BMS Electrician Technician to work on various projects, including the installation and maintenance of solar panel systems, building management systems (BMS), and electrical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:- Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain solar panel systems, BMS, and electrical infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Electrical Work: Perform electrical work, including mounting devices and field interface panels, installing EMT and rigid conduit, and determining cable and wire requirements.
- Project Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure timely project completion and high-quality results.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of installation, including as-built records and daily reports.
- Commissioning and Startup: Assist commissioning technicians with commissioning and startup of solar panel systems and BMS.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to EMCOR and customer safety requirements and attend all safety meetings.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a commercial or industrial environment.
- Licenses and Certifications: Electrician Journeyman license required.
- Skills: Proven knowledge of related building codes, regulations, and ordinances; ability to read, interpret, and work from plans, schematics, and drawings; and strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
