Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN to join our Home Health team at St. Bernards Medical Center. As a Home Health LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients in their homes, working under the guidance of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine skilled care, including dressing changes, wound care, urinary catheter changes, and venipunctures for laboratory specimens.
  • Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as permitted by policy.
  • Provide virtual visits, teaching, and simple assessments to patients.
  • Insert peripheral IVs and administer IV antibiotic therapy and IV hydration.
  • Care for patients with varied diagnoses and ages, including those with ostomies, tracheostomies, and negative pressure wound therapy.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a School of Practical Nursing or equivalent practical nurse program.
  • One (1) year nursing experience.
  • Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the state of Arkansas.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Reliable transportation, current Arkansas driver's license, and automobile liability insurance.
Work Environment

This is a safety-sensitive position. The Home Health LPN will work in patients' homes, which may involve exposure to temperatures, fumes, dust, and noise. The position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing/pulling up to 250 pounds, carrying up to 35 pounds, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
