Crosswalk Monitor

BASIS Peoria is seeking a Part-Time Crosswalk Monitor to join our team. As a Crosswalk Monitor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students.

• Monitor student activities during lunches, recesses, and passing periods to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
• Oversee students' behavior and report any unruly behavior to school management.
• Inform supervisor of any damages to school property.
• Respond to emergency situations, such as injuries or food allergies, with urgency.
• Exercise sound judgment in carrying out duties.
• Assist in front office support, as applicable.
• Maintain regular, full, predictable attendance.
• Supervise individual students and/or groups of students during structured and unstructured times.

• High school diploma or higher.
• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Experience in a school or child care environment preferred.
