Position Summary

We are currently looking for a dedicated Construction Quality Control Representative to join our team in the Aiken area. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant construction experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control measures tailored to specific projects.
  • Conduct inspections and evaluations of work areas to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and contractual obligations.
  • Identify and report deficiencies, escalating issues as necessary to uphold safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain documentation of work plans, submittals, and reports.
  • Ensure subcontractors are informed of all quality control protocols.
  • Conduct a comprehensive three-phase inspection program, including preparatory meetings, initial inspections, follow-up inspections, and final evaluations.
  • Lead quality control meetings with project teams and clients, providing detailed minutes of discussions.
  • Generate daily quality control reports to ensure project compliance with established standards.
  • Verify that all materials and equipment meet project specifications and are properly handled and stored.
  • Coordinate and document all necessary inspections, addressing any non-conformances promptly.
  • Review as-built drawings to confirm accuracy and document any deviations from original plans.
  • Oversee the Job Site Safety Plan, ensuring hazard analyses are approved and safety measures are in place during all phases of work.
  • Take necessary actions to halt work and address any non-compliance with safety and construction standards.
  • Foster professional communication and collaboration with all stakeholders, including trades, suppliers, and clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in similar construction programs.
  • Current OSHA 30 certification and First Aid/CPR certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • USACE Construction Quality Control Management certification is a plus.
  • Must meet all contract security requirements.
  • Ability to work in the field for 40+ hours per week and lift up to 80 pounds.
