Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Reliability Specialist to join our team at Tesla. As a Field Troubleshooting Expert, you will be responsible for improving customer experience by reducing field issues related to the Drive Unit Inverter. Your duties will include identifying root causes of failures, analyzing data, and collaborating with engineering teams to implement countermeasures.

Responsibilities
  • Drive issue resolution from root cause analysis to countermeasure implementation on all electro-mechanical issues pertaining to the Drive Unit Inverter.
  • Analyze and interpret field and diagnostic logs/data to identify commonality on trending issues.
  • Design and conduct experiments on drive units to replicate failures observed in the field.
  • Monitor product field performance, identify trending issues, and prioritize work based on severity, occurrence, and cost of each failure modes.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Prior applicable experience desired; preferably in a hands-on role such as Failure Analysis/Quality/Service in consumer electronics or automotive.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and Failure Analysis skills, strong attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to use tools and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data.
Compensation and Benefits

As a full-time employee, you are eligible for a competitive salary ranging from $84,000 to $258,000 annually, plus cash and stock awards, and benefits including Aetna PPO and HSA plans, family-building benefits, dental and vision plans, company-paid Basic Life and AD&D insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and more.
