Job Description

  • As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff during your shift, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care possible.
  • You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to direct, coordinate, and supervise the nursing services department.
  • Supervising nursing services for our facility during your shift, you will adhere to the Nursing Practice Act, facility policies, and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • You will also assist nurses with patients during acute episodes, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Your duties will include dealing with employee problems in a timely manner, documenting actions taken, and assuming on-call responsibilities.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • You must be a registered nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing, with a current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • You should have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing and provide quality-nursing care to patients.
  • CPR certification is a yearly requirement.
  • You must attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
  • You should be able to supervise nursing staff, ensuring work assignments are completed appropriately and timely.
  • Read, know, and follow personnel, department, and facility policies, and adhere to local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Long-term care experience is preferred.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
