At Mechanical Services & Design, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controls Foreman to join our team. As a Controls Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of HVAC controls systems, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead installation teams and ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Install automated environmental controls systems, including conduit, wiring, and other components, in accordance with design specifications and plans.
- Commission newly installed building automation systems and ensure that they are functioning properly.
- Ensure client satisfaction through all phases of the installation process.
- Plan and organize projects with Controls Operations Manager to support organizational goals and priorities.
- Coordinate with client's key personnel and other on-site contractors as necessary.
- Lead and manage controls installation teams and install all components of the Building Automation System Control in a timely and efficient manner.
- Attend and participate in relevant meetings pertaining to projected work projects.
- Provide training to assigned personnel as needed.
- Conduct quality control inspections on personal and corporate controls projects as assigned.
- Perform special or complicated installations with minimal assistance.
- Update/maintain technical proficiency through training classes, bulletins, seminars, etc.
- Maintain accurate documentation relating to the installation/removal/replacement, including but not limited to: time, labor, and material reports and maintenance logs.
- Train, develop, and mentor newer team members on building automation systems.
- Comply with organizational, local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Obtain/maintain required professional licensures/certifications.
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- 2+ years' experience in leading installation teams
- 5+ years' experience in HVAC controls systems
- Niagara Certification preferred
- Ability to comprehend and apply verbal and/or written communications, including technical manuals and drawings
- Ability to communicate in written and spoken English
- Unencumbered US driver's license
- US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required
