Position Overview
CHRISTUS Health is on the lookout for a dedicated full-time faculty member to join our established community-oriented residency program, affiliated with prestigious academic institutions. We are interested in a dynamic board-certified PhD or LPC professional. Faculty members are allocated protected time for administrative duties and scholarly pursuits, while enjoying the collaborative support of 24-hour intensivists and laborists within our clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the clinical training of residents, who will manage their own patient clinics while receiving guidance and observation.
- We seek a candidate with substantial clinical training.
- Instruct and mentor residents and medical students in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Deliver didactic lectures, engage in case discussions, and provide procedural training.
- Act as a faculty advisor for residents, assisting them with their career and educational aspirations.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, committees, and work groups.
- Lead content development for specific areas within the residency program curriculum.
- Manage a diverse patient panel, including geriatric patients.
- Maintain a patient load of approximately 16 across 3-4 clinics weekly.
