Job Description:

This position is responsible for the safe operation of company vehicles, ensuring the security of cargo, and performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of state and federal DOT regulations and will be able to maintain all equipment as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and adhere to all state and federal DOT regulations
  • Operate other mobile equipment as necessary
  • Maintain Current Class A license
  • Maintain all equipment as necessary

What is Expected of You:

The ideal candidate will have developed proficiency through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. They will be able to complete work with a limited degree of supervision and will likely act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 3-5 years' relevant experience required
  • Must be able to drive for the company according to Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and the Company's Vehicle Safety and Driver Qualification Policy

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:

  • Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of time
  • Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 60 pounds
  • Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 100 feet
  • Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures
  • Working conditions could include: dust, fumes, moderate noise and uneven surfaces
  • Travel required
