Plumbing Apprenticeship Instructor

Mountainland Technical College is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Substitute Plumbing Apprenticeship Instructor.

This position involves training students in plumbing skills, with a focus on preparing them for employment in the trade. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging lesson plans, managing student progress, and evaluating student performance.

• Deliver hands-on, skill-based training to students in plumbing.
• Develop and maintain lesson plans for classroom and lab activities.
• Manage and supervise students in the classroom and on the practical floor.
• Evaluate student performance through written, oral, and practical tests.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman Plumber certification.
• Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques.
• Ability to instruct, manage, and evaluate student work in an industrial trade environment.
• Working knowledge of up-to-date industrial trade principles and techniques.
• Safety skills and ability to use and maintain industry-related hand and power tools.
