Food Expeditor

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Expeditor to join our team at MadLife Stage & Studios. As a key member of our restaurant team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of orders from the waiters to the kitchen.

• Coordinate the efficient flow of orders from the wait staff to the kitchen.
• Ensure orders are prepared with the correct priority and accuracy.
• Assist in the final preparation of dishes and check them for presentation, temperature, and accuracy.
• Inform the wait staff when dishes or ingredients are running low and pass food requests from the wait staff to the kitchen.
• Monitor food portions on completed dishes to ensure they meet restaurant standards.
• Deliver orders promptly to maintain fast service and eliminate obstacles in service and food preparation lines.
• Inspect the premises to ensure quality and sanitation standards are met and assist in cleaning as needed.
• Transfer important information between the kitchen and wait staff, such as customer requests.
• Handle customer complaints in a professional manner to preserve the restaurant's reputation.

• Proven experience as a food expeditor or in a similar restaurant position.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in a restaurant setting.
• Dexterity in using kitchen equipment and utensils, as well as the ability to carry heavy trays.
• Well-organized and able to lead and direct others.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Outstanding coordination and multi-tasking abilities.
• A customer-focused approach and great physical endurance.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
