Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Medical City Fort Worth. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in preparing patients for scans and providing diagnostic information.
About the Role:
- You will check patient charts for needed exams and tests
- Prepare patients for exams – administer pre-medication, radioactive isotopes, and transfer patients to examining tables
- Scan patients – making proper settings on the gamma camera
- Read or survey the amount of radiation given off by certain radioactive material shipped to the department
- Record every radioactive isotope for inspection by the Bureau of Radiation Control
- Record information on patient history and examination
- Assist in administering I-131 therapy and maintain I-131 therapy schedule, record scan and test results
- Order radioactive isotopes in a timely manner
- File the patient record and maintain proper charge code and exam
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- State Registered Radiologic Technician license
- Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) certification
- One year of experience preferred
