Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Serve Wire and Copper Tape Specialist to join our team at Prysmian Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for applying serve wire and copper tape to a core wire as designated by product design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Serve Equipment: Utilize SOP's, Ti's, and CDA's as resource documents to effectively understand the serve operation and operate the bobbin loaders, string up, gears, machine controls, pay offs, and take ups.
  • Maintain Efficiency: Achieve high efficiency with minimal scrap on line by maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Changeover and Setup: Ability to change machine over from one product to another and select the correct dies.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality welds on copper tape and copper wire.
  • Safety First: Maintain a safe work environment by reporting all safety incidents or issues immediately and adhering to all rules and procedures.
  • Teamwork: Sustain a shop floor environment with operators helping each other and completing assigned tasks by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Basic Computer Training: Familiarity with SAP and MDC systems.
  • Maximo Training: Ability to utilize Maximo software.
  • Measuring Equipment: Utilize measuring equipment, including OD tapes, tension gauges, calibers, and micrometers.
  • Mathematical Ability: Perform necessary calculations and measurements.
  • Fork Lift Training: Ability to operate a fork lift.
