Assistant Professor of Psychiatry

The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified individual for an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry position. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician with interests in academic psychiatry, teaching, and research.
Responsibilities- Provide general adult psychiatric clinical services to the Medical Center, including inpatient and outpatient work.
- Participate in supervision and training of psychiatry residents, fellows, and medical students.
- May be required to provide services in person, through telemedicine, and in other affiliated sites.
- Cover call for nights and weekends, and backup calls for psychiatry service.
- MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
- Board-eligible in Psychiatry by the start date of the position.
- Strongly encouraged to apply: fellowship training in areas of geriatric psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine, and/or addiction psychiatry/medicine.
