Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of ASC 740 quarterly and annual tax provisions.
  • Oversee the management of various tax-related schedules in the development of the global income tax provision.
  • Maintain comprehensive internal control documentation within a SOX framework.
  • Draft various income tax disclosures for SEC submissions.
  • Prepare tax depreciation and amortization schedules.
  • Evaluate stock compensation schedules to ascertain appropriate treatment in tax provision modeling.
  • Forecast effective tax rates accurately.
  • Review quarterly reconciliations of general ledger tax accounts and conduct tax accrual account analyses.
  • Conduct research on tax-related inquiries and issues.
  • Propose innovative ideas and implementation plans to enhance processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential.
  • 2-4 years of experience with ASC 740 Tax Provisions.
  • Recent involvement with Tax Provisions is required.
  • Experience with a Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting firm is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent research capabilities.
  • Experience in the corporate tax department of a large multinational corporation is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • General understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Solid skills in tax and accounting practices.
  • Strong analytical and research abilities.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a fast-paced workload.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
  • Team-building capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web browsers.
