Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Welding Inspector to join our team at Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing inspections of structural steel bolting and welding, as well as other related tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of structural steel bolting and welding to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Perform inspections of pipe and miscellaneous welding.
  • Proctor and observe welder qualification tests.
  • Prepare detailed reports of inspections and tests.
  • Assist with other work as needed, such as floor profile measurement and concrete imaging radar location of reinforcing steel.
Qualifications
  • Current Certified Welding Inspector and/or ICC Bolting, Welding, and Structural Steel Inspector certificates.
  • Ability to read and interpret project drawings and codes.
  • Familiarity with other welding codes, such as ASME and API codes.
  • Non-destructive testing experience and qualification preferred.
  • Articulated Lift operators card/certificate preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and perform work outside of this description if needs arise.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CWI certification from the American Welding Society.
  • ASNT Level II ACCP technician in Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, and/or Ultrasonic Testing.
  • ICC Structural Steel and Bolting certification.
  • ICC Structural Steel and Welding certification.
  • Experience with reinforcing steel inspection, post-tensioned concrete inspection and reporting, or other related experience is a plus.
