***$20,000 Sign-on Bonus for Eligible Candidates - Disbursed in 20% increments every six months over two years (initial payment, followed by payments at 6, 12, 18, and 24 months) - A six-month commitment is required, with no repayment obligation after this period.***

Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse delivers direct patient care in accordance with the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Employs therapeutic communication in daily interactions. Maintains a secure therapeutic environment. Identifies nursing challenges based on the individual needs of patients. Plans personalized patient care using a collaborative approach. Engages in performance improvement initiatives. Provides care and coordinates efforts that align with the hospital's mission and vision.

In the capacity of charge nurse, registered nurses oversee daily operations to ensure high-quality patient care in a supportive environment. Assign staff based on patient needs and staff competencies. Act as role models and clinical resources for team members. Respond promptly to inquiries or follow-ups regarding physician, staff, or patient matters.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in specific competencies as outlined in the competency validation checklist(s).
  • Exhibits knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's age-specific needs.
  • Ensures patient privacy and confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Evaluates patients' and families' learning capabilities and incorporates education throughout their participation in the program and discharge preparation.
  • Utilizes the nursing process to address individual patient needs.
  • Exhibits critical thinking abilities.
  • Promotes customer service initiatives.
  • Encourages and demonstrates teamwork.
  • Completes mandatory training and education.
  • Adheres to hospital policies/procedures and patient safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse License
  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or BCLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
