We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Operating Room department.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain aseptic environments for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during operations
- Monitor and control the surgical environment to ensure patient safety
- Transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite
- Position patients according to the type of surgery
- Identify and care for biological specimens
- Prepare the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to type of case
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program required
- 2 or more years of experience preferred
- BLS required
- Certification of Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN License required
Our Operating Room department is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires attention to detail and excellent communication skills. As a Surgical Technologist, you will work closely with our surgical team to ensure the highest level of patient care.
