Solar Energy Systems Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of contemporary solar technologies (e.g., Tesla, Solaredge, Enphase).
  • Demonstrate expertise in commissioning and troubleshooting solar systems.
  • Guide clients in understanding their solar systems, including connections to monitoring platforms.
  • Execute Main Panel Upgrades (MPU) safely and efficiently.
  • Skillfully bend conduit as part of installation processes.
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical issues within system components.
  • Install and set up monitoring systems for solar installations.
  • Oversee the assembly of racking and solar arrays.
  • Collaborate with a team to install, inspect, and maintain solar systems on both residential and commercial properties.
  • Ensure proper sealing of all roof penetrations, adhering to local safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
  • Work in various environments, including attics and crawl spaces, to connect solar panels to the electrical grid.
  • Conduct site surveys, including measurements, photographs, and notes.
  • Coordinate with project management to prepare job sites for inspections.
  • Utilize and maintain essential hand tools necessary for the role.
  • Uphold high standards of quality assurance and control, emphasizing safety.
  • Ensure all work complies with national and local building codes.
  • Complete tasks accurately, safely, and within designated timelines.

Primary Duties:

  • Monitor alerts related to outages and performance from customer solar monitoring systems, initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct initial remote troubleshooting and diagnostics with clients to identify performance issues before dispatching field personnel.
  • Manage ticketing, staffing, scheduling, and dispatching of field service teams to address solar PV and battery system service concerns.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of service activities, findings, and outcomes in SAVI EHS's CRM system.
  • Assess warranty versus chargeable service work, preparing quotes and invoices as necessary.
  • Oversee the handling of Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA), including recordkeeping and tracking of equipment.
  • Effectively communicate the financial and operational performance of the service department to both customers and team members.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with battery backup systems is essential.
  • A minimum of 4 years of electrical experience or training is required.
  • Experience in roofing and/or construction is advantageous.
  • Ability to work on rooftops with varying angles and surfaces.
  • Possession of basic tools necessary for the job.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are mandatory.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to engage positively with clients and team members.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check, including drug/alcohol screening and a clear driving record.
  • Willingness to travel for certain projects is required.

Compensation:

  • Hourly rate ranging from $28.00 to $33.00.
  • Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
