The Farming Field Mechanic is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and overhaul of various agricultural machinery and vehicles, including tractors, forklifts, and spray equipment. This role involves diagnosing equipment issues, disassembling faulty machinery, and performing necessary repairs using both hand and power tools.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct all tasks with a focus on safety, ensuring that the workshop and equipment are maintained in optimal working condition.
- Regularly service and maintain farm machinery according to established schedules to ensure operational efficiency.
- Inspect, test, and adjust equipment as needed, maintaining compliance with management directives.
- Document service and repair activities accurately.
- Communicate equipment status, maintenance schedules, and other relevant information to the shop Supervisor.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills related to machinery and processes.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working with engine-driven wind machines is required.
- Basic mathematical knowledge.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform bending or stooping tasks.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Pay Rate: $21.53 per hour.
