Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Host to join our team at A16 - Oakland. As a Host, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring their dining experience is exceptional from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Greeting: Warmly and graciously greet all guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
  • Table Management: Assign guests to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation, ensuring servers receive an appropriate number of seatings.
  • Communication: Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, respond to complaints, or make conversation.
  • Phone and Message Handling: Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries or transfer calls, relay messages to servers and bussers as needed.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup, direct guests to waiting areas such as lounges.
  • Guest Services: Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return, coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant.

Requirements:

  • Availability: Availability to work day shift, Monday to Friday, night shift, and weekend availability.
  • Physical Setting: Upscale casual restaurant environment.
