CDL Lead Instructor

Ancora Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL Lead Instructor to provide leadership and subject matter expertise for our Commercial Driver's License Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, providing training to students, and ensuring the highest level of quality in our program.

• Student Support
  • Provide academic advisement and counseling to students, including referrals to outside resources when necessary
  • Lead student retention initiatives to support students experiencing barriers to success
  • Maintain regular contact with students and respond to their questions and concerns in a timely manner
• Curriculum Development and Implementation
  • Participate in the curriculum development and revision process, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations
  • Provide leadership in the implementation of new and revised curriculum
  • Develop and maintain the master schedule for course sequencing, offerings, and instructor assignments
• Program Management
  • Oversee the quality of curriculum, instructional materials, equipment, and facilities
  • Convene meetings with faculty and staff to discuss program performance and make recommendations for improvement

• Minimum:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years of experience in academic instruction in a post-secondary environment
  • 5 years of commercial driving industry experience
  • 5 years of experience in a management or supervisory role
  • Valid CDL Class A license
• Preferred:
  • 7 years of experience in academic instruction in a post-secondary environment
  • 10 years of experience in the field of commercial driving
  • Working knowledge of federal/state government education regulations
  • 7 years of experience in a management or supervisory role
  • Previous experience as an academic program director
