Position Overview: Benefis Health System in Great Falls, Montana is actively seeking a dedicated Pulmonary physician to enhance our thriving team of medical professionals, including Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The department is currently staffed with three skilled Critical Care Pulmonologists, an Outpatient Pulmonologist, a Nurse Practitioner, and a Physician Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong bronchoscopy skills, including EBUS and navigational bronchoscopy. Specialty procedures performed in our bronch lab include: Bronchothermoplasty, Cryotherapy/Bronchial Blocker, APC Cautery, Super Dimension, EBUS, Lung Stent, Laser Phototherapy, and Pleurex Cath Insertion.
  • Our department is equipped with advanced technology, including plethysmography, spirometry, and a complete pulmonary function testing lab, along with a new cardiopulmonary exercise laboratory and state-of-the-art navigational bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound.
  • There are opportunities to educate 3rd and 4th year medical students and to engage in a future internal medicine residency program.
  • Potential involvement in developing pre and post-transplant coordination if desired.
Work Schedule and Call Coverage:
  • The general outpatient clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility in scheduling for physicians.
  • Current call responsibilities are managed by the inpatient team, with scheduling discussions available based on individual preferences.
