Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and construction work to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct inspections and identify potential issues to prevent equipment failure and downtime.
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other systems.
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including backhoes, forklifts, and aerial lifts, to perform tasks such as excavation, material handling, and high-reach work.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and tasks, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of work performed, including maintenance schedules, repair histories, and inventory management.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques, technologies, and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities role, with a focus on skilled trades such as carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, or electrical work.
  • Valid Arkansas driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and materials, and to work in a variety of weather conditions.
