Job Overview
The role involves fostering and enhancing student learning by designing and customizing educational programs; supervising, guiding, and evaluating academic performance; ensuring a secure environment that promotes education; and keeping guardians informed about student progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitates student learning by creating and organizing curriculum in alignment with educational standards and district requirements.

• Adapts curriculum to meet diverse learning needs and previous educational experiences of students.

• Develops and delivers lesson plans utilizing various instructional methods, including lectures, projects, field trips, multimedia resources, and technology.

• Evaluates and grades student work by preparing assignments and assessments; conducting standardized evaluations in accordance with district policies.

• Maintains classroom discipline by addressing behavioral issues; collaborating with other professionals when necessary to support students with learning challenges or personal issues.

• Ensures a safe and healthy educational setting by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures; adhering to legal requirements.

• Supports students facing academic challenges by providing guidance and utilizing school resources for additional help.

• Keeps guardians informed by maintaining records of student performance, attendance, and social integration; reporting on student development during conferences.

• Provides additional support by supervising common areas, study sessions, and lunch periods; leading student organizations or activities.

• Engages in professional development by attending meetings, participating in training opportunities, reading educational literature, and networking with peers.

• Enhances the institution's reputation by taking initiative in fulfilling new and diverse requests; seeking opportunities to contribute positively to the educational environment.

• Performs related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and a valid teaching certificate as required by the state education department.

Working Conditions
The physical demands of this position include the ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Tasks may involve manual dexterity for operating a phone and computer, visual acuity for reading materials, auditory skills for classroom communication, and physical agility for various classroom activities.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 annually
