Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented Trusts & Estates Counsel to join our Taxation, Trusts & Estates division in our WestLA office. The successful candidate will possess expertise in estate planning and tax law, advising affluent clients on various elements of estate planning, family partnerships, and business succession strategies.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited institution; LL.M. in Taxation is advantageous
  • Active membership in the California State Bar
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in trust administration and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and families
  • Skilled in drafting wills, trusts, and estate planning documents
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities in understanding and applying tax legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple assignments
Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer legal counsel on trust and estate issues, including estate planning, probate, and trust management
  • Draft, review, and amend legal documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
  • Collaborate with clients to create tax-efficient estate planning and business succession strategies
  • Keep abreast of updates in tax laws and regulations impacting clients
  • Represent clients before tax authorities and in legal proceedings when required
