Job Overview

Targeted Annual Compensation:
Minimum of $60,000 to a maximum of $85,000

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and delivery of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) training programs for employees, including orientation for new hires.
  • Conduct EHS compliance inspections at various sites and collaborate with site leadership to address compliance issues.
  • Provide EHS guidance to site leadership regarding the implementation of appropriate practices in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate in site safety committees, contributing to agenda development and making recommendations to meet the needs of various service locations.
  • Perform risk assessments to identify employee exposure and compliance concerns.
  • Engage with operational teams to promote and support positive EHS behaviors.
  • Deliver training on environmental practices, reactive chemical operations, and emergency response as necessary.
Qualifications

Education:
Associate's degree in a related field is required.

Experience:
2 to 4 years in the hazardous waste industry or related experience is preferred, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a role supporting EHS compliance.

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in root cause analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in standard Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite applications.
  • Able to work efficiently and independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to manage small projects with attention to detail and effective prioritization.
Required Certifications
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
  • Valid driver's license
